Dear Friends and Family

Standard

PrintOn September 19th Dustin, Peter, and I will be doing a 5k walk on Lake Calhoun. The walk is to raise money for the Liz Logelin Foundation. This foundation was created in honor of Liz who died twenty four hours after giving birth. Her husband Matt was left to raise their daughter, Madeline, while trying to grieve the loss of his wife. Through this hardship, he has been able to create a foundation to help other families who have lost a husband or wife and are in need of financial help raising their children.

I am very grateful every day for the many blessing in my life. I have a wonderful husband who supports me and loves me. I have a healthy and happy son who is growing and exploring his world every day. We all have friends and family that we know we can turn to and count on in good times as well as hard times. To be able to share even just a little piece of that happiness with someone in need is an honor.

I’m turning to you for help in this cause. We would love to have your emotional support for this walk. Let’s face it, a 5k walk seems a little daunting to a novice with old lady bones pushing a stroller. We would also welcome any financial support. I know times can be tight for everyone now so if you can’t give much, or anything, I understand. I also know that because times are tight, even the little bit we can do will make a difference to those in need.

Thank you for your love and support,

Annie (along with Dustin and Peter)

Backyard Fun

Standard

With Peter and I spending lots of time together this summer, I thought I’d share just a few pictures of playing in the yard.

He’s very interested in the garden.  I’m afraid that the pumpkins might just eat him if he gets too close.1-feed-me2-ball3-car

Roommate Weekend

Standard

It was that time once again.  221A re-united for some cabin fun.  Elliott, Lindsay, Kart, Kristen, Jon, Nicole, Lon, Jessica, Dan, Alicia, and Brayden all joined Dustin, Peter, Paul, Donna, and I for the weekend (and a passle of dogs).  There was lots of knowledge shared, with a few beverages too.  We spent lots of time around the campfire and on the boat.  I think the paddle boat got the most use it has yet.  Brayden even caught a fish.  Overall, it was a fun weekend!

Once everyone departed, we got to enjoy a little quiet time with just the three of us, and one visit from the dear old deer.

We actually didn’t get that many pictures of the weekend so if anyone else has some good ones to share, that would be great.

Bethy Weekend

Standard

We’re a little behind on posting (because someone didn’t upload pictures for awhile).  So, July 25 was Miss Bethy’s birthday.  What better way to celebrate than going to the cabin and eating cake made by the one and only Annie?
